About Preview Mode

Preview Mode enables the Base44 live preview functionality, allowing you to test the application in real-time before publishing.

When preview mode is enabled, you can:

  • ✓ Test all interactive features and buttons
  • ✓ Verify form submissions and data handling
  • ✓ Check responsive design across devices
  • ✓ Test API integrations and backend functions
  • ✓ Preview the published application experience

Preview Failure Explanation

If the preview fails to load or becomes unresponsive, it may be due to:

  • Browser Cache Issues — Clear your browser cache and refresh
  • Network Connection — Check your internet connection stability
  • JavaScript Errors — Open Developer Tools (F12) and check the Console for errors
  • Port Conflicts — Ensure the preview port is not blocked by firewalls
  • Session Timeout — Re-enable preview using the button above
  • Third-party Extensions — Disable browser extensions temporarily and try again

If issues persist, try:

  • 1. Click "DISABLE PREVIEW" button above
  • 2. Wait 5 seconds
  • 3. Click "ENABLE PREVIEW" to reinitialize
  • 4. Refresh your browser window
